Who am I? Hmmm. A very intriguing question and one in which I hope to answer right now. I am Ryan Landry. Wow! I'm glad I got that off my chest. I also go by the self given name of Gregory Life, a name I created in high school of which I can find no discernable origin. It just appeared in my mind when I was looking in the mirror one day.
Throughout my stories I talk and tickle the subject of insanity because I believe a truly creative person, i.e. an artist, has to look outside the boundaries of reality to come up with the things they come up with. That is why I believe that we all delve slightly into insanity because we have to. We all need to escape in some way from the slap-in-the-face forcefulness of real life. It is tough to live the lives we are handed, which is why fiction was invented. It is a way we can just sit down and relax from the turmoils in our lives. Granted there are those who forget where to draw the line between the two, but for those of us who can harness fiction to a certain degree, it becomes our passion. If some one can read something of mine, whether it be poem, story, novelle, or Lord willing, a full novel and use what I have drawn for them with my words to relax for a bit, to collect themselves and refresh their mind and body and soul for what is going to come next in life I would feel extremely honored. For some one to enjoy my writing that much would truly be the best compliment I could ever receive.
